The $10 charge covers one distinct claim when it is initially submitted. Eligibility and documentation review, coding and CMS-1500 preparation, submission, tracking, payment reconciliation, corrections, denial follow-up, resubmissions, and provider-dispute support for that claim are included.

Will I be charged again if the claim needs a correction or resubmission?

No. Corrections, denial follow-up, and resubmissions for the same claim are included in the original $10 charge.

Is there a subscription or percentage fee?

No. There is no subscription and DoulaBear does not take a percentage of your insurance payment.

Which insurance claims do you support?

We support California doula claims for Medi-Cal fee-for-service, managed care plans, and commercial insurance. You must be appropriately enrolled or contracted with the payer.

How do I get paid?

Insurance payments go directly to you, not to DoulaBear. Payment timing and reimbursement depend on member benefits, payer rules, documentation, and claim adjudication.

Is reimbursement guaranteed?

No. We prepare, submit, track, and follow up on claims, but no billing service can guarantee that an insurer will reimburse a claim.
